Step 1 - Reaching Finley Business Solutions LLC
Congratulations! You have completed the first step already. It may seem simple, but the first step was locating us to help you! You have either reached us through an Internet Search Engine, or by filling out an online form on one of our websites. Either way, you have found someone who has access to a network of the top franchises in the United States, and who has over 20 years of experience in the industry. We will match your income requirements, your net worth, your cash investment amount, your borrowing power, your desire to be an active or passive owner in your new business, the number of hours that you wish to work per week, your previous experience, your industry interests, your personal interests, and finally, territory availability for the type of business you are interested in! We are a matchmaker between you and your future business and we do this at no charge to you!


Step 2 - Completing the Questionnaire
The next step in the process is to complete the questionnaire by clicking on the "Questionnaire" link at the top of this webpage. We need to start with information about you in order to help you. Your information is kept confidential and is never sold or given away. Only when/if you choose one of our suggestions do we submit your contact information to the franchises that you have selected to pursue.


Step 3 - Finding Your New Business
Now that you have created a profile through the questionnaire, we can use our extensive business network, experience, and database of top quality franchises, to locate a handful of franchises that fit "you" out of the 2000+ currently available in the United States today.


Step 4 - Presenting the Results to You
We will email you the results of our search. The email will include the reasons why the resulting businesses match your criteria, as well as links to the resulting franchise websites for your further review on your potential future business. You simply reply back to us if you have an interest in the franchises presented to you before we proceed to the next step.


Step 5 - Introduction to the Franchisor
For each of the opportunities that you have an interest in, we will introduce you to the Franchisor. The Franchisor will send you materials to help you become acquainted with their franchise. These materials usually include brochures, dvds, their UFOC, and other promotional materials regarding their business. At this point in the process you will usually be contacted by the Franchise Director of the business that you have chosen as well.


Step 6 - Review of the UFOC
One of the items that will be sent to you (as listed in Step 5 above) is the UFOC. The UFOC is a requirement of the FTC. The UFOC is an acronym for "Uniform Franchise Offering Circular". You should review the UFOC in complete detail, writing down any questions or concerns for discussion with the Franchisor. The UFOC will also contain a list of franchisees and contact information for you.


Step 7 - Contacting Existing Franchisees
The Franchisor/UFOC will provide you with a list of several Franchisees (current business owners of the franchise) for you to contact so that you may ask questions about the Franchise. One of the reasons for contacting these references is that you want to ask them why and how they became successful and if they are currently happy owning this business. Then you need to determine if you can do the same things that they did to be successful. It is a perfect opportunity to learn from other people's experience, just another of the many benefits of franchising!


Step 8 - Consultation with an Attorney and an Accountant
You are taking a serious step in your life. Just like buying a new home, or other large decisions in your life, you want to involve a professional to guide you. You should always consult with an attorney and an accountant before making a final decision. It is important to insure that both professionals have a good background in franchising. If they do not, then the process may cost you more than you needed to pay while they do their research. We can help you find skilled professionals in your area when you reach this step of the process.


Step 9 - Attend a Discovery Day
Most Franchisors have a "Discovery Day", where they will invite you to their business location. You will not only get crucial information for your final decision, but will get to meet the staff that will be providing your initial training and continuing support in your new business.


Step 10 - Decision Time
You have taken all of the steps up to the door, and now you must open it. Decision Time. If you decide to take this last/important step, then Congratulations! You have decided to buy a franchise and start your new life/business! You have become a "Frantrepreneur", a cross between a traditional entrepreneur and a modern franchise owner. A person who possesses the desire to be a business owner but who does not want to become a "failed statistic" by attempting to "recreate the wheel" in their own business.
